Carolyn Burke: licensed massage therapist and personal trainer

I have been involved in the healing arts since 1997. I studied physical anthropology as an undergraduate at University of California Santa Cruz (UCSC), studying many of the human body sciences. I concurrently studied the martial art of Quantum Jujitsu, which included an intense focus on Restoration Massage and Warrior Yoga. Continuing to develop my skills in massage, I later pursued a Master's degree from San Diego State University in Latin American Studies. This allowed me to study both in San Diego and in Brazil. I also received a massage certificate from Mueller College in San Diego and am nationally certified in the USA through NCBTMB. Throughout my experience with this healing art, I have been fortunate to study with some of the best minds and hands in the field.

Through my studies and my own passion for health and physical activities (I am a triathlete), I have developed a unique system to help my clients relieve pain and achieve their physical goals, transforming their bodies. I have worked with people of all ages and varying physical abilities, and I continue with studies in varying aspects of the human body in different fields.

My professional goal is to help people heighten their awareness of their bodies by relieving tension, correcting postural imbalances, and improving mechanics and functionality through better fitness.

My husband and I moved from San Diego, in southern California, to Cambridge in June 2009. For your convenience, I am located in central Cambridge, in between Parkers Piece and the Grafton Centre.

I invite people to contact me with questions, comments, or appointment requests at:
